Will Barcelona ever learn their lesson? Sure, they’re back to La Liga’s 1:1 rules of use, but they’ve only gotten there by triggering each lever in a 50-mile radius. They have struggled to register last summer’s big-money signing, but seem to be happy to take even more risks to get Duran’s signature.
Duran, who has established himself as a genuine offensive powerhouse this season with Villa. He is good enough for a club like Barcelona, but the cost of winning this race is likely to send the Blaugrana back into financial uncertainty.
