The 22-year-old Florian Wirtz knows perfectly well what to expect when you smash a big club’s transfer record. Then every single game – from the first kick – is measured against the gigantic investment the club makes in the player. In his first interview as a Liverpool player, Wirtz therefore gave a clear message to Liverpool supporters.

According to hyperactive transfer journalist Romano, Liverpool are paying a whopping €150 million for the 22-year-old, the Premier League champion’s most expensive signing ever.

“I feel very happy and very proud. Finally, it’s finished. I’ve been waiting for a long time… I’ve also spoken to several players who played there (in the Premier League) and they told me it’s perfect for me. All the plans are perfect, and one can enjoy every match. I’m really looking forward to playing my first game in the league,” Wirtz begins to the club’s website.

“I’m very happy to be here. And sorry for the long wait! I don’t come here to have fun, I also want to achieve something here and give the supporters what they deserve,” says the new Liveprool player.
