On February 24, the Inter Milan supporters slyly walked out of the San Siro. The football mosquito Bodø/Glimt, a club where the snow barely melts during the summer (seen from Italy), has sent the Serie A giant out of the Champions League. Not only with artificial turf and cold at Aspmyra, but also with victory at San Siro itself. Inter led Serie A by far, but after that night in February, the confidence ran out of the Inter players. Only at Easter has Inter Milan risen after the disappointment against Bodø/Glimt.

On Saturday, there was a big game against Roma in Serie A, AC Milan had closed in on the lead after Inter’s post Bodø/Glimt collapse. This was a game Inter really needed to win and replenish their confidence account.

Because after February 24, the club has barely won a game.

Inter Milan – Genoa 0-2

Como – Inter Milan 0-0 (1st semi-final Coppa Italia)

AC Milan – Inter Milan 1-0

Inter Milan – Atalanta 1-1

Fiorentina – Inter Milan 1-1.

On Saturday, Roma came to the San Siro. Lautaro Martinez is back from injury and hammered in the first goal after the minute. At half-time, Inter led 2-1 and the supporters feared another point split.

After the break, things loosened up for the first time since the loss against Bodø/Glimt.

First, Marcus Thuram served the ball to Lautaro Martinez, who ice-cold increased to 3-1 after 52 minutes, before Thuram three minutes later made it 4-1 after a set-piece goal.

Nicolo Barella came on in the 63rd minute with the 5-1 score. Roma managed to embellish the result a bit with 20 minutes left, when Lorenzo Pellegrini found space and reduced the score to 5-2.

With the win, Inter (with one game more played) are nine points ahead of AC Milan and ten ahead of Napoli. My self-confidence is finally back!
