70 years. This is the wait for the Newcastle supporters for the trophy. 70 years of title drought is finally, finally over. Alexander Isak has been Newcastle’s biggest player this season in the Premier League, and the Swede did not disappoint against the Premier League’s best defence by far. In recent months, the super Swede has been heavily linked with exiting Newcastle, after Sunday’s League Cup title, we can’t believe Isak is tempted away from St. James’ Park.

The 2-1 win against Liverpool at Wembley with 32,000 Geordies in the stands meant everything to Newcastle and Isak. You could almost feel the Swede’s “nu jäcklar!” mentality filling Wembley after the game.

In the first half, Van Dijk controlled the Swede and won almost all duels, after half-time it was a Newcastle striker who went out on the pitch as the match-winner – and made sure to put in the goal that was also the match-winner.

Arsenal, Liverpool and PSG are circling towards the summer’s biggest signing, Alexander Isak. On Sunday, they again received confirmation that the 25-year-old is the right one, but now so much is happening that Isak is not going anywhere.

Earlier this month, Newcastle boss Darren Eales responded when asked if they could offer Isak a contract that “reflects his growing status”.

“We’re going to be ready, he’s got several years left on the deal, So all these things, we’ll have the discussions in terms of a new deal, just like we did, whether it’s Joelinton, Bruno or Anthony Gordon. It’s something we want to get closer to this summer… It would be crazy for us to consider it [selling stars],” Eales told the English newspaper.

Alexander Isak is Newcastle’s biggest star, he’s cracked the Premier League code under Eddie Howe, Champions League tickets are still available in the Premier League, wages are being jacked up sharply this summer, Newcastle have shown they can beat Liverpool in a final.

We think Arsenal, Liverpool and PSG can already come to terms with Alexander Isak not being available this summer. The Swede has no reason to leave Newcastle as the biggest star for the club that has proven they are in a position to collect titles.

Forget it, Isak continues in the Newcastle shirt.
