Tottenham Hotspurs again looking for a manager! – The hunt may have just taken a new turn after a completely new candidate has appeared.

Spurs have had a season to forget and are currently just one point above the relegation zone ahead of their game against Nottingham Forest on Sunday, while crashing out of the Champions League in midweek following a 7-5 aggregate defeat to Atlético Madrid.

However, despite the uncertainty surrounding which division they will play in next season, the club must also plan to bring in a new manager, and they should now prioritise an attempt to bring in a manager who will be available at the end of the season.

Tottenham must bet on Valverde
News emerged on Friday that Athletic Club de Bilbao boss Ernesto Valverde will leave the club in the summer in search of a new challenge, and it should be the news that gets Spurs started in their search for a new manager.

The Spaniard has had an eventful career, winning five league titles during stints at Olympiacos and Barcelona, where he coached Lionel Messi, Ousmane Dembélé, Luis Suárez, Andrés Iniesta and Ivan Rakitić, among others.

There, he showed a sensational adaptability with his teams, as well as an attacking style of play that won over many, and that would make him a perfect choice for the Premier League. Pep Guardiola has previously called him “spectacular”, which shows how highly regarded he is.

Another candidate, Andoni Iraola, has revealed that Valverde is his main reference in terms of coaching, and considering that there is interest from Spurs in the Bournemouth coach, that should tell them that Valverde also needs to be considered.

Forget De Zerbi: Valverde is the man
Fabrizio Romano has previously reported that Roberto De Zerbi is considered the “dream hire” for Spurs, while Mauricio Pochettino is also highly regarded in north London.

However, if Spurs are serious about getting back among the top clubs in the country and turning their situation around, they will have to make an attempt to bring Valverde to the club and turn their fate around.

With a potential opportunity to bring the 62-year-old to the Premier League in the summer without competition, it could be a masterpiece from Vinai Venkatesham and Johan Lange that no one saw coming, and results will undoubtedly see a big rise almost immediately, while the club’s future will also be in safe hands.

Securing Premier League football must be a priority for everyone at the club, but getting a deal in place early should that happen, should it not be far behind.
