Real Madrid are known to have a turn towards choosing “their own”. Either a coach who has worked his way up as a coach of Castilla, the second team of the club, or a former player. It has turned out that neither Xabi as a former player, nor Alvaro Arbeloa as a former Castilla coach have been the solution. Now it is reported that the La Liga giant has turned to something as sensational as a former Barcelona player.

Cesc Fabregas was part of the Barcelona academy, then the first team of Barca in the period 2011-14 after the round at Arsenal. Still, the feat the Spanish legend with 110 caps on his CV is behind as Como coach, clearly trumps the background.

According to transfer expert Jorge Picon at El Desmarque , Fabregas is one of the coaches who has impressed the Real Madrid bosses in particular. They like his style of work and communication, and believe he could be a serious candidate to take over the next term as Real Madrid coach.

Fabregas is heavily involved in the Como project, which two years ago was down in the second division. Now they are fighting for a Champions League ticket in Serie A, Fabregas has also led the club to the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia, where the first leg against league leaders Inter Milan ended 0-0.

Still, the Real Madrid job could be the only offer that tempts Fabregas away from Com, it is reported.

Sensational if Fabregas ends up at Real Madrid, but Bernd Schuster has gone up the course. The German midfielder played for FC Barcelona for eight years (1980–1988) before moving directly to Real Madrid (1988–1990). He later became manager of Real Madrid, leading them to a La Liga title in the 2007–08 season.
