Philip Zinckernagel has followed Bodø/Glimt’s jubilant journey in the Champions League, but has also had his round of great success in MLS. In his junior season for the Chicago Fire, Zinckernagel scored on long shots, solo raids, and dribbles. With 15 goals and 12 assists in 32 MLS games, the Dane delivered a sparkling attacking game like Glimt’s. A new season is underway, on Sunday night, the former Glimt star was in the right place, at the right time – before the supporters had had time to make themselves comfortable in the stands.
By then, league leader Nashville SC had made the trip to Chicago. There were no points, Zinckerangel made sure of that.
