Last season, Västerås SK disappeared from Allsvenskan. Now it is rigged for direct promotion, the Swedish club has secured a former Liverpool player on loan until the summer.
The 24-year-old Elijah Dixon-Bonner was brought to Queen Park Rangers in 2022 after several years at Liverpool’s academy and with three senior games in the red shirt on his CV. At QPR, the midfielder has 33 appearances. He impressed at the end of last season and got an extension with the Championship club, but this season he has only played 200 minutes on the pitch. Now it will be secured playing time at Västerås.
Not exactly the natural choice for a former Liverpool player, but the 24-year-old seems to be looking forward to it.
– Coming to VSK feels like a great opportunity for me to play football and hopefully contribute to the team’s success. I’m looking forward to the spring with confidence,” Dixon-Bonner told the club’s website.
