There was a sad departure for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Besiktas last week, but the United legend is already being linked with Manchester United. A former Premier League star believes it would be only natural for United to bring Ole back.
This winter, optimism rose among Besiktas supporters when the “Eagle of the North” injected energy into the mediocre squad, was behind some really strong individual games against Athletic Club, Fenerbahce and a fire-breathing angry Mourinho, as well as victory against Galatasaray as the only club in the league. 3rd place in the Süper Lig slipped anyway, the current season started as the previous one ended. Solskjaer was predictably sacked, but no one can take away from the United legend the job he put in at Manchester United as a super substitute, then later “permanent” head coach. Just a few days after Solskjaer is done in Turkish football, he is linked to Old Trafford.

Although Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had to endure strong criticism on the eve of his coaching stint at Old Trafford from December 2018 to November 2021, the deliveries are seen in a historical perspective something the United legend should be proud of. English Goal named Solskjaer the best United manager since Ferguson.
Former Tottenham star Jamie O’Hara was asked about a Solskjaer return to Old Trafford, and thought it was only natural that the Norwegian would be brought in if a super substitute is needed.
“Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not the stupidest proposal. He can come in and be an interim manager and get the players back on track. He may not be a long-term solution, but we see football clubs can be chaotic. I think Solskjaer, if they go back to the formation from before and he gets some freedom, can calm things down a bit,” O’Hara said on Sky Sports.
Are probably more United supporters who agree with O’Hara.
