In January 2023, Casper Tengstedt took the step from Rosenborg and the Eliteserien to the big club Benfica. A year and a half later, it was on loan, but in Serie A things have really loosened up for the former elite league star. This has led the Dane to the Eredivisie and one of the Netherlands’ three best clubs, well helped by his friend Fredrik Aursnes.
Although Tengstedt had periods at Benfica with a near-breakthrough and a highlight as the match-winner against Sporting in extra time, after 35 games with 4 goals it was ready to chase playing time outside Benfica. Tengstedt signed with Hellas Verona on loan last summer, 26 games and 7 goals later, the title fight in the Netherlands awaits the former RBK player.

Permanent transfer to Feynoord with contract expiring in 2029, the Dutch big club is said to have paid €6 million for the Danish striker. In an interview with the club’s website, Tengstedt talks about how a Norwegian national team player was involved in making the choice about Feyenoord.
Fredrik Aursnes has worn the Feyenoord shirt, the Norwegian is one of the stars at Benfica and has shared a dressing room with the Dane.
-Fredrik is one of my best friends. He told me everything about Feyenoord, especially the atmosphere and the fans. I wouldn’t be able to imagine what awaits. That’s why I’m really looking forward to playing at De Kuip,” Tengstedt begins at Feyenoord One.
Here awaits not only title matches against clubs such as PSV and Ajax, but also qualification matches for the Champions League. It starts with Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce in the third qualifying round.
“We have a huge task ahead of us with the Champions League qualification, and I am very eager to help the club get there.
