Positive news for Pep Guardiola as Manchester City’s injury crisis shows signs of easing. Several key players are back in action, offering a much-needed boost to the squad.
Manchester City to have been handed a significant boost as four key players returned to training ahead of the weekend clash with Tottenham.
The reigning Premier League champions have been battling an ongoing injury crisis of late that has been a major factor behind a huge slump in form that has seen them lose four consecutive matches across all competitions for the first time since 2006.
It is the single worst losing run of Pep Guardiola’s illustrious managerial career and has seen them fall five points behind top-flight pacesetters Liverpool as well as slipping down to 10th in the new-look Champions League standings and exit the Carabao Cup at the last-16 stage at the hands of Tottenham.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Kevin de Bruyne, John Stones, Jack Grealish, and Manuel Akanji have returned to training with the team. There’s a possibility that these players could feature in the upcoming match against Tottenham on November 23.
