Well now he has got a new job, this time for Championship club Coventry. He “won” the battle for the job after Ruud van Nistelrooy suddenly became very relevant for Premier League club Leicester.

Former Chelsea and England midfielder Frank Lampard has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with Coventry City.
Lampard (46) takes over with the club as number 17 in the Championship table, two points above the relegation places.
He replaces long-time Mark Robins, who was sacked after seven years earlier this month, and becomes the first new appointment made by Sky Blues owner Doug King since he completed the takeover in January 2023.
The Coventry job will be Lampard’s fifth place as manager, after spells at Derby County, Everton and two stints with Chelsea.
He has worked extensively in the media since his last role, as interim manager at Stamford Bridge, ended in May 2023.
Lampard’s first game for the Sky Blues will be at home against Cardiff City on Saturday.
