After a very promising start to the season, things have really creaked for Fredrikstad, who have plummeted down to 7th place in the Eliteserien. – The U19 national team player will not become an FFK player until the new year.

Fredrikstad Football Club and Egersund have agreed on a future transfer for the 18-year-old defender Fanuel Ghebreyohannes. The transition will take effect from the new year, and the 2006 model will thus complete the season in Egersund.

Egersund is currently in 5th place in the OBOS-Liga, they made it a requirement that the transfer only came after the season due to their momentum and possibility of promotion.

  • It will be a big moment for me to take the step up to the Eliteserien. It’s something I’ve dreamed of for a long time as a young player. I am very much looking forward to becoming part of the club in January, says the young defender to Fredrikstad’s pages.

Fanuel has 35 senior games for Egersund’s first team. This year he has played 8 league games and a NM game for the OBOS league club, and will finish the season there. In addition, Fanuel has made his debut for the Norwegian G19 national team this spring, and was part of the European Championship squad this June.
