When Galatasaray visit Liverpool in the Champions League, it will be without deafening Gala supporters in the stands. The Turkish supporters themselves have taken care of this.
Galatasaray advanced to the last eight of the Champions League after a dramatic play-off against Juventus, in which the Süper Lig club won 7-5 on aggregate after extra time. During the match against Juventus, Galatasaray supporters threw objects, set off fireworks and caused unrest in the stands in Turin.

Reuters reports UEFA’s appeals body has upheld the punishment awarded to the Turkish club after disturbances during last week’s match against Juventus.
As a result of the events, Galatasaray are therefore not allowed to sell tickets to their own fans for the away game against Liverpool, which will be played on March 18. At the same time, UEFA has imposed a fine of 40,000 euros on the club – for the supporters’ behaviour.
Galatasaray tried to appeal the penalty, but the appeal was rejected on Wednesday.
