It is no surprise that Rosenborg jewel Sverre Nypan is in demand. – We already know that both Arsenal, with the help of their Norwegian captain Martin Ødegaard and Manchester United, which the 18-year-old was a big fan of in his childhood, have been forward with proposals before and they will not sit still when the market opens this summer.
On Saturday at Lerkendal, he provided the only goal of the game as Rosenborg won 1 – 0 over Fredrikstad.
The Norwegian press is of course going off the rails after Rosenborg, who chose to bench Nypan in the series opener, started against Fredrikstad.

There could have been many more goals, but Fredrikstad goalkeeper Jonathan Fischer had several masterful saves.
“It’s deserved that we win and get three points here today”, says Sverre Nypan to VG and continues: “I’m just standing there waiting to get the ball and then he drifts and works his magic out on the side. So I’m just trying to be in the right place at the right time”
Arsenal and Manchester United are not alone in wanting Sverre Nypan. Borussia Dortmund, who have made both Jude Bellingham and Erling Braut Haaland world stars, have once again set their sights on Northern Europe in their search for young talents, and this time they have spotted one of Norway’s most promising players: Sverre Nypan. The 18-year-old midfielder from Rosenborg is causing a stir in Scandinavian football with his mature style of play and good pitch overview. Several European clubs have shown interest, but it is the German big club that is now leading the battle for his signature.

According to German media, there is talk of an offer of around 15 million euros to secure the transfer. Rosenborg has not yet given an official response, but sources close to the club indicate that an offer of that magnitude would be difficult to refuse. Dortmund’s interest also serves as an important stage boost for Nypan.
The RBK victory secured full pot for Rosenborg after the first two games of the season. It is the first time the Trønders have managed since the 2017 season.
