There is already a personal deal in place with 25-year-old striker Jonathan David, who is now coming to Turin for free.

Juventus in Turin have gone all out to secure Jonathan David. The Canadian striker, who has just ended his contract with Lille after a remarkable season with 25 goals in 49 games, is now clubless and has attracted interest from several clubs. But the “Bianconeri” have taken the lead and are aiming to complete the signing right now.

According to information published by Tuttosport, a direct meeting between Juventus management and the player himself is expected in the next few hours. David is currently with the Canadian national team in Minnesota for the Gold Cup, while Juventus are in Florida preparing for their match against Real Madrid in the Club World Cup – which has made it geographically easier to expedite the deal.

Deal with Jonathan David in place
The Italian club has reportedly reached a preliminary agreement with the player’s representatives on salary terms: 6 million euros net per season plus another 2 million in bonuses. However, important details such as signing bonus and agent fees remain.

Despite interest from Inter Milan and Napoli, these clubs eventually opted for other options, which has paved the way for Juventus to lead the operation. David, who has expressed a willingness to don the black and white shirt, could become the new offensive focal point for the “Vecchia Signora”.
