Liverpool fans still get shivers at the mention of the name Loris Karius. Mothers in the soccer town threaten their children to eat vegetables so they don’t end up like the clumsy German goalkeeper.
There is, of course, the Champions League final against Real Madrid in 2019 where the then Liverpool goalkeeper made two serious mistakes – which eventually led to the Merseyside club losing the final and his then very promising career taking a new direction.
The 31-year-old has been at Newcastle since 2022 – but now the goalkeeper is taking on a new assignment, according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The journalist writes that he agrees with Schalke 04, who are in 13th place in the 2. Bundesliga.
