Manchester United were so heavily linked to Liam Delap for a period this spring that the English media almost took it for granted that the Ipswich striker with a solid 12 Premier League goals for one of the league’s weakest clubs ended up at Old Trafford. The young striker has won the Club World Cup title, but in the Premier League there has been a complete stop with a hamstring injury. Now it is reported that “things are getting brighter”.
In the last Premier League game before international duty, Delap was forced out with a hamstring injury in Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Fulham on August 30.

Then came reports that it could end in surgery. According to The Athletic, it has now been determined that the 22-year-old will avoid surgery, with Delap expected to be able to resume training at Chelsea in November. With this, the striker could be back in action for a match-packed December.
A long time to wait for a 22-year-old, but still lucky to avoid surgery.
