Rumours of a possible departure for Brazilian star Vinícius Júnior are resurfacing with renewed vigour – this time with a historic giant offer from Saudi Arabia.

According to journalist Eduardo Inda in the program Radioestadio, Vinícius has been informed of a colossal offer from the Middle East:

  • A five-year contract worth one billion euros
  • A transfer fee of over 300 million euros – which would be the most expensive ever. So far, it is Neymar’s €222 million transfer from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain that tops the list.

But even though the money is insane, Real Madrid have no plans to sell their star player, yet. – There are rumours that club president Florentino Pérez is tired of Vinícius Júnior being dismissive and demanding in his attempts to get an extension.

Vinícius himself doesn’t want to leave – yet

Inda also revealed that Vinícius sees a possible Saudi summer as too early in his career. The 23-year-old still wants to compete at the highest level in Europe.

Although the offer may have been tempting, it seems that he has made a rational choice – leaving top-flight football now would have been a mistake.

Vinícius has a contract with Real Madrid until 2027.

The club has full confidence that he will find his way back to top form – and once again become the player who was considered one of the world’s very best.
