Harry Maguire admits that “many players” will leave Manchester United this summer after the club’s worst season ever in the Premier League.
The Red Devils finished 15th with just 42 points from 38 games, and also lost the Europa League final to Tottenham Hotspur last Wednesday. As a result, United will be without European Cup play for only the second time since 1990, and the club faces a major upheaval this summer.

Big changes coming up
A deal to bring Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Matheus Cunha to Old Trafford is already in place, and Ruben Amorim’s side are also expected to sign a new striker, a new midfielder, a new wing-back and a new goalkeeper.
However, United have lost top goalkeeper Liam Delap, who is set to join Chelsea for €35 million, and Viktor Gyökeres has already rejected a potential transfer in favour of negotiations with Arsenal.
At the same time, the club risks losing Bruno Fernandes to Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal, and he is one of several players who could leave Old Trafford before the 2025/26 season.

Maguire confirms player exodus
This comes from Maguire himself, who admitted that a major player shake-up is likely to happen this summer after the shocking 1-0 loss to the ASEAN All-Stars in a friendly on Wednesday.
“We’re going to make a lot of changes to the club this summer,” Maguire told reporters during a press conference in India. “A lot of players will leave, and hopefully a lot of new players will come in.”
“It’s the club’s responsibility to make sure this is done right, and it’s our responsibility as players to make sure we’re the ones to stay.”
“Every player has to take responsibility,” Maguire added. “This season has not been good enough, we know the criticism is coming and we have to accept it. That’s part of it when you play for one of the biggest clubs in the world.”
“When you play for Manchester United and have a bad season, the scrutiny will only continue… The whole world is jumping on, not just United fans. It can escalate quickly.”
Who can disappear from United?
United are expected to get rid of several first-team players this summer as Amorim tries to shape the squad to be able to fight at the top of the Premier League.
Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Antony are all expected to be sold after loan spells away from Old Trafford, while Alejandro Garnacho has been asked to find a new club following his recent break with Amorim.
Casemiro, Kobbie Mainoo and Rasmus Hojlund have also been linked with a departure in what will be United’s most important transfer window in years.
