They spent around six years together at Manchester United during a period that was turbulent for the club, to say the least. United managers came and went, David de Gea and Victor Lindelöf stayed. Now there are reports of a surprising move from the Swede that could lead to a reunion.
Lindelöf finished at Old Trafford in the summer, but has not decided on the way forward. Youth club Västerås is pushing for the club’s big son to return to Swedish football, while two Premier League clubs have made the 31-year-old their offer, reports transfer journalist Romano.

According to Romano, the Swede’s representatives have traveled to Fiorentina for talks about signing. The Serie A club with David de Gea between the sticks, is setting everything up for United’s former centre-back, now it’s up to Lindelöf.
Fiorientina finished the last Serie A season with 6th place and a Conference League ticket, where De Gea’s masterful goalkeeping contributed greatly. Now coach Stefano Piolo is calling for another Manchester United veteran.
