It’s nothing new that information is leaking out of Manchester United’s dressing room, boardroom or hallways, but when the starting eleven reaches out to Manchester City on social media 17 hours before the two clubs are due to play, then Ruben Amorim’s game plan is also served to the opponent. It is suspected that the leak comes from United players.

The long time span between the leak and the match shows that it did not happen by a mistake. Therefore, the United management will not let the matter disappear until it is resolved.

According to The Times, Ruben Amorim himself has gotten involved, where the United manager has “interrogated” at least two United players. The English newspaper claims Amorim directly asked two players if they were behind the leak or had knowledge of it. Names are not mentioned, but it is speculated that Alejandro Garnacho may have been the one who was grilled.

Manchester United won the match, but for the players who have been behind or knew about the leak, there will be no happy ending.
