Four Manchester United players are on expiring contracts, Victor Lindelöf has been warned on his way out since… Yes, actually for two or three years. Now the Manchester Evening News reports that the decision has finally been made.

The Swede is one of the few players who has remained stuck in the storm during the last few seasons with Solskjaer, the chaos with Ralf Rangnick, Ten Hag’s rule, then the transition to Ruben Amorim’s high-intensity football.

The centre-back has made 268 appearances in the United shirt since 2017 and can “boast” that he also joined Jose Mourinho on the United guard.

With the transfer window closed once again without the Swede having walked towards the exit door, the final decision has still been made. The Manchester Evening News claims the 30-year-old will be finished this summer anyway.

Ruben Amorim will cost out a significant part of superfluous players, Lindelöf has done his part.
