The English media are absolutely certain that if they lose on Monday against Wolverhamton, West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui will be sacked.
West Ham have had a tough start to the season and are in 14th place with 15 points after 14 rounds in the Premier League.

Earlier this week, the BBC reported that Lopetegui will stay at least beyond Monday’s meeting with bottom rivals Wolverhampton, but in the event of a loss, it is said that there could be a change of coach, with the British newspaper Daily Mail mentioning four candidates – Graham Potter, Edin Terzic, Kasper Hjulmand and Sérgio Conceição – who are all said to have support in the London club’s boardroom.
On Saturday, new information emerged from the British newspaper Daily Mirror that West Ham are also considering Middlesbrough’s manager Michael Carrick – in the event of a departure for Lopetegui. Carrick is said to be high on West Ham’s list, while in such cases it is necessary to reach an agreement with the Championship club.
Carrick took over as head coach at Middlesbrough in the autumn of 2022 and has a contract until the summer of 2027. He has also previously been an assistant coach and interim coach at Manchester United. As a player, he belonged to West Ham, but also to Swindon, Birmingham, Tottenham and Manchester United. The last time he represented West Ham was in 2004.
The most games were with Manchester United, a total of 464.
