On Saturday, Henning Berg led AEK Larnaca to the title in the cup after a nerve-wracking final against Paphos, which had to be decided on penalties. After the success, there was a coach who stated to Verdens Gang that he expected the club to extend his contract with him. On Monday, the response came from the Cypriot club management: “Thank you for your cooperation.”
Henning Berg’s period as head coach of AEK Larnaca has now ended. The Norwegian coach is leaving the Cypriot club after leading the team to cup gold. On the club’s pages you can see highlights from the match.
The club confirmed on Monday that Berg will not continue as coach. On their website, they express gratitude for Berg’s efforts:
