According to journalist David Ornstein from The Athletic, Manchester United are planning a major clean-up this summer.
In a live Q&A broadcast, Ornstein confirmed that six players have played their last game for Manchester United:
- Marcus Rashford (on loan at Aston Villa)
- Jadon Sancho (on loan to Chelsea)
- Antony (on loan to Real Betis)
- Tyrell Malacia (on loan to PSV)
- Casemiro
- Rasmus Højlund
The latter, Højlund, has faced strong criticism lately after only eight goals in 45 games this season. Casemiro has also regularly been criticized for poor performances.

It is unclear whether Rashford, Sancho, Antony and Malacia will be bought permanently by their loan clubs or if they will have to look for other options.
In addition to these six players, Ornstein claims that Alejandro Garnacho could also leave the club – but only if United receive a satisfactory bid.
