Bruno Fernandes is going through a special week after completing his 300th game for the club.
In an interview with The Times, he revealed that he almost didn’t reach that milestone. According to Portuguese media, Saudi Arabia (Al Hilal and Al Nassr) made a very aggressive bid for him this summer. They offered a significant sum to the English club, as well as a salary that was hard to refuse.
“About £700,000 a week,” he says. This equates to around 800,000 euros weekly, or about 3.2 million euros per month. – Now he brings in a little less than half.
Still, it was his wife who eventually convinced Bruno to stay. “She asked me if I had achieved everything I dreamed of at United. He knows he hasn’t. I don’t know if I’m going to achieve it, but I want to win the Premier League or the Champions League,” Fernandes revealed.
