Antony impresses for Real Betis – but the future is still unclear, money spent by Manchester United and an impressive salary is the reason.
Antony has been a revelation for Real Betis since arriving from Manchester United in January, and it is natural that the club will want to keep hold of him beyond this season. But for Los Verdiblancos, it will be far from easy to get a permanent deal.

Macnhester United bought Antony from Ajax for €95 million in the summer of 2022 and gave him a salary of £200,000 a week.
Before the loan stay was agreed, the La Liga club were very sceptical about Antony given how badly things were going for the Brazilian left winger at Old Trafford.
Real Betis are not only pleasantly surprised, they are in heaven and will do what they can to get a deal, the performances have been brilliant with four goals and four assists. Among other things, the victory at El Gran Derbi is highlighted as a good example.
Since Antony joined Real Betis at the end of January, the club has only lost one La Liga game and the last five games have been a three-point series.
These results keep Betis in contention for the final Champions League spot, where they are tied with Villarreal.
What does it take for a permanent transition?
According to Relevo, Champions League qualification could give Betis a big negotiating advantage and more money to move with. – There will be at least an extra €50 million in revenue and an increased likelihood that Antony himself is pushing Manchester United for a transfer. There is little chance that he will get Champions League football back at Old Trafford.
