Chelsea secured a place in the final of the Club World Cup 2025 after a 2-0 win over Fluminense on Tuesday night, and now they have the chance to win their second major trophy in less than two months.
Road to the final
Enzo Maresca’s side won the Europa Conference League final against Real Betis in May, earning them their first trophy since BlueCo took over the club in 2022. Now they have the opportunity to win the very first summer edition of the Club World Cup on Sunday evening.
A double from new reinforcement João Pedro against his childhood club secured Chelsea’s place in the final, where they will face reigning Champions League champions Paris Saint-Germain.

Underdog, but with big financial gain
Chelsea go into the clash as clear underdogs, but they have already secured a significant cash prize by reaching the final. In addition, they are guaranteed to have the status of the world’s second best team as a minimum.
With a total prize pool of $1 billion, the Club World Cup has been a very profitable tournament for the participating teams – not least Chelsea.
Chelsea’s prize money from the Club World Cup
After the victory over Fluminense, Chelsea’s total earnings in the tournament have reached around €93 million (£80 million), depending on their exact participation fee, which FIFA has yet to disclose.
If they beat PSG in the final, they will receive an additional 8,7 million euros, which means that their total earnings could exceed 100 million euros.
