Anyone who doubts whether the Dane, who so far has two rounds in the Glimt shirt (we hope for a third..), has kept his goalscoring flair? On Sunday night, another confirmation came from the 30-year-old. The Chicago Fire beat St. Louis City 3-2 in MLS, Zinckernagel being the player involved in the final two decisive goals.
Chicago Fire is the Dane’s seventh club in just four years, but all the move doesn’t seem to hamper Zinckernagel when the referee blows for kick-off. Against St. Lois, it was a close, close game, with Zinckernagel taking control in the second half, when he equalised to make it 2-2 after 67 minutes, before setting up Brian Gutierrez just before the final whistle.

With the former Bodø/Glimt star’s final spurt, Chicago won, Zinckernagel now stands with the 12th goal and 10th assist in 26 games. In the previous MLS round, the Dane also played his way into Team of the Matchday.
