The Dutch big club Ajax has in recent years been “hit” by chaos and poor management. From being the dominant force in the Eredivisie, they have also this season problems with qualification for tours in Europe. (As of now, they are in 4th place).
A reinforcement for the future is Maximilian Ibrahimovic who arrived at Ajax on loan with an option to buy from AC Milan in January. The idea is to gradually make the talent everyone expects big things from ready to play together with the big guys through a period in Jong Ajax.

It looks like it will be a bumpy road to get there. – In the early hours of the morning today, Jong Ajax (Ajax’s second team) announced that they have fired their coach Willem Weijs.
Maximilian Ibrahimovic has not yet made his debut for the club’s first team, but played one game for reserve team Jong Ajax after his arrival.
Now Jong Ajax has chosen to change coach. Willem Weijs has been fired after a period of weaker results. Spaniard Oscar Garcia will be the replacement at the post.
Jong Ajax are currently last in the Dutch second division Eerste Divisie. Maximilian Ibrahimovic played his first game for the club on January 19, but has been out of the matchday squad for the last two rounds.

Ibrahimovic’s presence at Ajax means he is following in his father’s footsteps. Zlatan Ibrahimovic played for the club from 2001 to 2004.
