Since this season, Brighton have established themselves in the upper echelons of the Premier League, with player development and recruitment that has generated hundreds of millions of pounds in sales revenue. Down in League One after relegation last season, it is high time for a change of ownership. Sky Sports reports Bale and an investment group are very interested in buying into Cardiff City. The group has reportedly had an initial “request” to owner Vincent Tan rejected, but is still on the offensive.
“We are interested in Cardiff. It’s my childhood club, it’s where I grew up and my uncle played for them. Being involved in an ownership group would have been a dream come true,” Gareth Bale said.
