Alexander Sørloth has a scoring form in 2026 that is only surpassed by Harry Kane, and makes the “whole” of Spain gape. Now the Norwegian international striker can send Tottenham out on the market again for a new coach. Sørloth has proven himself as the match-winner for Ateltico in recent months, Igor Tudor’s job is largely affected by whether the Norwegian does the same against Tottenham in the Champions League. Tottenham’s intended saviour has a few games to convince him not to be sacked.

Since the end of December, Tottenham have been winless in the Premier League. If you take a look at the calendar, we are well into the month of March. 11 Premier League games without a win have sent Spurs into a downward spiral that could end in relegation from the top division, a place the club has not been since 1977. Igor Tudor was brought in as a rescuer, now the Croatian coach has rather got a certain number of games to keep his job.

There were strong rumours after the loss to Crystal Palace (with Strand Larsen scoring) that the management was considering dumping Tudor already after three games of defeat. On Sunday, Caughtoffside’s sources reported that CEO Vinai Venkatesham and sporting director Johan Lange had decided to stick with Tudor – for now.

The Telegraph claims Tudor has been given a clear timeframe to show he is the right man for the rest of the season, which will be the next four games. This is definitely not an easy task for Tudor, here awaits an Atletico Madrid and Sørloth in raw scoring form in the last eight of the Champions League, before an important Premier League trip to Liverpool. The second leg of their UCL clash against Atleti will take place on Wednesday 18 March, before an important period ends with a big relegation contender clash at home to Nottingham Forest on Sunday 22 March.

If there are no positive results and improved performances in all four of these games, Tudor will probably be sacked after this, it is reported. There awaits a three-week break at Tottenham, with an international break in March and the club’s failure to progress in the FA Cup.

In other words, if Sørloth continues at the same match-deciding scoring pace, Igor Tudor has been fired.
