We can argue that La Liga is a less tough league than the Premier League, but this can’t explain the immediate jump in performances from Antony: 3 Player of the Match awards, 3 goals and 1 assist after the first four games at Betis.
And if that wasn’t enough to digest for Man United supporters, now Antony is nominated for the award as La Liga’s best player in January, along with Kylian Mbappé, Pedri, Oihan Sancet and Ante Budimir.
In other words, one of the five best players in the league with clubs such as Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
