Everything, absolutely everything, is facilitated for 17-year-old Lamine Yamal at Barcelona. This is reflected in the market value that is now placed on the winger.

The Barca star signed a new contract earlier this summer, which includes a €1 billion buyout clause (in familiar Barcelona style). The youngster has already won La Liga twice and played an important role in Spain winning the Euro 2024. The teenager has over 100 appearances in the senior team, and is now the next to wear the iconic No. 10 shirt, which was worn by Lionel Messi and Ronaldinho.

The renowned CIES Football Observatory is behind the calculation of players’ market value, where the factors are entered. Lamine Yamal is valued at an astronomical €400 million.

-This extraordinary figure is linked to equally extraordinary achievements achieved at the age of18 (birthday in July), when most players, even the best, are just starting out at the professional level. Yamal’s value also increased due to his new contract, writes CIES Football Observatory.

Here is CIES’s review of the rest of the most valuable players in the world:

-Norway’s Erling Haaland (€239.6 million) and England’s Jude Bellingham (€233.8 million) take the second places on the podium with the most valued players, ahead of Frenchman Kylian Mbappé (€192.5 million), who is also the oldest player in the top 10 (26.5 years). The English Premier League is by far the most represented among the top 100 (42 players), followed by the Spanish league (19). Paris Saint-Germain, on the other hand, is the most represented club (11 players).
