The road to the Champions League final has been far from easy for Inter Milan and manager Simone Inzaghi. – They were not favourites before the quarter-finals against Bayern Munich and not against Barcelona in the semi-finals. The vast majority are keeping a close eye on Paris Saint-Germain in the final at the Allianz Arena as well.
Inter Milan, who with two rounds to go are 1 point behind league leader Napoli in Serie A, have big plans for this summer’s transfer market, some of them more surprising than others.

According to reports, Inter Milan are preparing to chase a Manchester United player just after the Champions League final.
With only a few games left for most European clubs this season, football fans are already starting to look forward to a busy summer of transition.
But before the transfer window opens, Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain will be chasing their first Champions League title in a match against an Inter Milan side that has surprised on their way to the final.
However, this has not stopped the Italian team from starting work on the summer transfers. – They surprisingly want Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee.
It is safe to say that Joshua Zirkzee has not lived up to expectations since his arrival from Bologna in July 2024.
The Dutchman has scored just three Premier League goals in 32 appearances this season. Still, Inter Milan reportedly see him as a perfect signing this summer, but they will be cautious.
According to Italian Corriere dello Sport, Inter Milan have been impressed by Zirkzee’s improved form in the second half of the season. They believe he can compete with first-team attackers Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martínez.
However, the club is not interested in a direct purchase deal, preferring a loan with an option to buy if he performs as expected.

Manager Simone Inzaghi is reportedly concerned about the difference in quality between the starting strikers and bench players Marko Arnautović and Mehdi Taremi. Zirkzee is seen as the ideal solution to this problem.
If a deal cannot be done, Inter will also consider strikers Nico Paz (Roma), Giacomo Raspadori (Napoli) and Ange-Yoan Bonny (Greece Verona).
Juventus interest cooled
Zirkzee was previously linked with a return to Italy in the winter window, with rumours of a move to Juventus.
But this interest seems to have cooled after Juventus fired Thiago Motta, who previously managed the Zirkzee at Bologna.
