Bodø/Glimt has been like a football curiosity in recent years for foreign media. This year is the end of underestimating the club north of the Arctic circle, now the journalists want to find out how the success out in the Europa League is possible. This brings a bunch of big media to Aspmyra.
Previously, CNN, the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal have served readers the story of the Bodø/Glimt phenomenon, before the second Europa League semi-final against Tottenham at Aspmyra, on May 8, foreign journalists flock to Bodø to take the pulse of the small town and the club with the big heart and commitment.

For the home game against the Premier League club, around 100 accredited journalists are expected, which has caused the Glimt gang to turn around and build new seats in the stands to make room for everyone.
The media manager at Bodø/Glimt reports a large influx of media from all over the world.
“We have received inquiries from media houses in South Korea, India, many countries in Europe, in addition to several major players in the United States. What we are experiencing now is quite surreal, considering how small the city we come from is, says media manager Simen Pedersen to Nettavisen.
The French newspaper L’Equipe is already in place in Bodø to follow the Norwegian club into the Europa League semi-finals.
“In addition, the BBC, The Observer and The Guardian will be here this weekend to do the same,” says Pedersen.
