Some time ago we wrote about Ja Morant’s temporary suspension for his gun incident. Now it turns out that his exclusion from the game may last much longer than a few games. An NBA expert claims that the basketball player must take into account a much longer suspension.
Memphis will probably need to find a new quarterback, as Morant is unlikely to return to the game anytime soon. At least that’s what Adrian Wojnarski, the most famous NBA journalist in the world, claims.
Two months ago, Ja Morant was live on Instagram from his visit to a nightclub. In the video, he was brandishing a gun. The NBA reacted immediately, suspending the player for eight games. He, in turn, promised improvement. This one, however, did not come. Instead, there was another video featuring Morant, in which he brandishes a gun. Morant’s actions will be severely punished by the NBA, which has already suspended him for eight more regular season games. NBA pundit Adrian Wojnarski says Morant’s ban could take much longer.
It remains to be seen what the extent of the league’s investigation will be. The longest suspensions during Adam Silver’s tenure were for players who failed drug tests, but Silver was never afraid to issue lengthy bans.
