‘Never fall in love with a loan player’. This is an English football proverb. For Everton supporters and David Moyes, this is impossible to follow.
Jack Grealish went from playing time drought – and yelling – at Pep Guardiola, to Player of the Month in his first month as an Everton player on loan. Everton supporters have a new favourite, on Tuesday Grealish scored on the eve of the game in the strong 0-1 win against Bournemouth.

“The fans love Jack, they definitely do. He’s definitely a top player and continues to show that,” coach David Moyes boasted according to BBC Sport.
Who knows that Grealish must be pushed on anyway and not allow himself to become a laidback.
“I want him to score more goals. Now he scored a goal tonight. I want him to score more and have more assists, but he has made a big difference and he is loved by everyone,” said the Everton manager.
The 30-year-old has been involved in managing games for Everton, and is listed with two goals and four assists in 13 Premier League games.

Former Everton player Gareth Barry explains why Grealish has immediately returned to great form beyond Pep Guardiola’s reach.
-I think Jack needed regular football. He needed the “love” from his manager to go out and “show me what you can do”. Not too many instructions. Just go out and ‘be Jack Grealish’. I think he will get it at Everton with David Moyes,” Barry said according to TBR-Football.
Everton are said to have an option to buy £50m at the end of the season, Jack Grealish is well on his way to playing his way to a permanent transfer.
