A little unsure of what is meant by “meaningful conversations”, but I think it’s about how much Jadon Sancho is willing to take a pay cut to actually play football.
But now the former England international has reportedly decided to leave Manchester United in pursuit of more playing time, even if it means a sharp pay cut.

Back in July 2021, the Jadon Sancho finally completed a transfer worth £73 million from Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund to Manchester United, after years of rumours and negotiations. When he arrived at Old Trafford, expectations for Sancho were very high, and many pointed to him as a player who could have become one of the best of the era after Alex Ferguson.
Instead, Sancho has had a difficult time at United, where he has struggled to find a regular place in the team under several managers, which has led to him spending most of his recent time away from the club on loan.
With his contract expiring at the end of the season, it has long been reported that Sancho could leave United in the upcoming transfer window, and we can now know his ideal next club.
Since January 2024, Jadon Sancho has spent his football career away from United through loan spells at his former club Dortmund, Premier League rivals Chelsea and now Aston Villa.
The rumors started the moment Jadon Sancho got off the plane!
But it doesn’t appear that the Englishman is about to join any of his loan clubs, as his sudden and unexpected visit to Istanbul intensifies rumours about Turkey.
According to CaughtOffside, Sancho and his team held ‘discreet but meaningful discussions’ with representatives from Fenerbahce, Galatasaray and Besiktas during the international break.
The meetings reportedly took place inside a luxury hotel in Istanbul, where each of the clubs presented Sancho with their long-term plans and visions for the United player.
Although it is currently unclear which of the three Turkish giants is leading the race for Sancho’s signature, according to reports, he is willing to take a pay cut to enable a transfer that will allow him to continue his career.
As of today, Sancho earns more than £13 million per season at Manchester United, but reports claim that his current expectations before a transfer will see him accept a salary between £7 million and £8 million.

What other clubs are linked with Jadon Sancho?
With Sancho’s time at United certainly coming to an end, it’s not just Fenerbahce, Galatasaray and Besiktas who are interested in securing his signature in 2026, with clubs from across Europe and beyond being linked.
Tottenham Hotspur, Juventus and several clubs in the Saudi Arabian professional league have been linked with a transfer, but it is currently believed that the trio from the Turkish Super League have an advantage in the battle for Sancho, as they are the most willing to commit to the financial demands a deal would entail.
Previously unknown problem with Jadon Sancho at Manchester United revealed
Jadon Sancho was loaned to Aston Villa from Manchester United in the summer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed a problem that Jadon Sancho had to deal with at the beginning of his career at Manchester United, which ‘hasn’t come to light before’.
Back in the summer of 2021, Sancho left German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund for United in a deal worth a reported sum of £73 million.
However, the winger experienced a tough spell at Old Trafford, where he made 83 appearances across all competitions and scored 12 goals.
After failing to secure a regular place in the starting line-up, Sancho has recently spent time on loan at Dortmund and Chelsea.
