Several Premier League clubs have shown interest in signing Jamie Vardy.
Jamie Vardy is very close to a return to where he has felt most at home: the Premier League. The 38-year-old English striker is not ready to retire just yet, and several teams in the top division of English football have already made contact to try and persuade him.

Everton is the club that has taken the most initiative. They need goalscorers and experience in attack, and see in Vardy a golden opportunity to strengthen the team with a player who, despite his age, is still in good shape and as goal-hungry as ever. There are ongoing discussions, and those around the player do not rule out any possibilities.
But they are not the only ones interested. Wolverhampton have also asked about his situation. Wolves, who are seeking more attacking options for the new season, believe that Vardy’s experience can bring character and leadership to the dressing room. In addition, Sunderland, newly promoted to the Premier League, have come into the picture with a tempting offer for the striker: a central role in the project and guaranteed playing time.

The most surprising name that has emerged in the last few hours, however, is Manchester United. The Old Trafford club do not see him as a priority, but if they fail to secure their primary targets in attack, Vardy could become an emergency option. The possibility of seeing him in the shirt of the “Red Devils” at this stage of his career would be a surprise, but it is not completely ruled out.
Jamie Vardy’s Last Adventure
Vardy is coming off a challenging season with Leicester City. After helping the team return to the Premier League in 2024, this season ended with relegation to the Championship. With 500 games and 200 goals to his name, the striker has decided to end this chapter with the “Foxes” – a story that will forever be etched in the memory of fans.
Now he is seeking one last adventure at the top level of English football. His plan is to compete at the highest level for one more season before retiring. And he has every reason to do so: he is in good shape, has retained the speed and assist-giving instinct that made him unique.
In the coming days, a final decision is expected. All indications are that the Premier League will welcome back the striker who surprised the world when he led Leicester to league glory in 2016.
Jamie Vardy has closed a legendary chapter, but wants to write one last page in top-flight football. And English football will undoubtedly follow his next move closely.
