By winning this match, Jannik Sinner reached for the Canadian Open trophy. This is his first ATP Master 1000 tournament title. It is the second most important title after grand slams.
Sinner is only the second Italian to win a tournament of this caliber. He decided to celebrate his success with an unusual companion – a shaggy dog.
