The Norwegian football coach Jørn Andersen, who has been national team manager for both Hong Kong and North Korea, has been fired at the Chinese club Yunnan Yukun. – If we know Jørn correctly, he will probably surprise with a new club or national team “where no one could believe anyone could play football”.
According to Chinese Soccer Watch, the kicking came as a surprise to the supporters. Yunnan Yukun was promoted to the top division last year and has performed far better than expected. Fredrikstad-born Jørn Andersen has several coaching assignments in Asia behind him. He has previously coached the national teams of North Korea and Hong Kong, as well as a club team in South Korea.
Andersen took over as coach of Yunnan Yukun before the start of the season this year and earlier in the season brought in the Norwegian-Chinese player John Ho Sæther from Ranheim.
Romanian coach Marius Sumudica is now on his way to China to take over the coaching responsibilities in Yunnan Yukun.
