Havertz was not at Arsenal’s open training at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday morning. The preliminary examinations show that the German player has injured his knee.
It has not yet been clarified how long the attacking midfielder will be out of action.
However, The Athletic states that Arsenal are now actively looking for a potential replacement, should Havertz be expected to be out for an extended period of time.
New signing Viktor Gyökeres is currently the team’s only fresh striker, although Leandro Trossard has also served as a striker on a few occasions.
Gabriel Jesus is still injured and unavailable to play.
