Kevin de Bruyne received a heartfelt farewell from Manchester City after the 3-1 win over Bournemouth on Tuesday night – and has now decided what will be his next stop.

After 10 trophy-rich years, the Belgian midfield champion played his last game at the Etihad Stadium before his contract expires in the summer. De Bruyne, who is considered by many to be City’s best player ever, received a standing ovation when he was substituted in the second half, followed by a special ceremony after the game.

Despite his huge connection to City, De Bruyne had previously not ruled out staying in the Premier League, as he and his family have put down roots in England.

After the FA Cup final loss to Crystal Palace, he told reporters:

Next club will be outside England

However, according to a new update from Mike McGrath in The Telegraph, De Bruyne has rejected a move to a rival English club.
