Miami Heat shocked the basketball world by advancing to the NBA Finals, becoming only the second No. 8 seed in history to advance to the NBA Championship. However, their achievement is no longer surprising when we look at one particular stat of their player Kevin Love.
Did you know that Kevin Love made it to the finals every time he was in the playoffs?
Love appeared in the NBA with the Minnesota Timberwolves, with whom he failed to qualify for the playoffs in any of his six years with the team. Everything changed after Love moved to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Love teamed up with Kyrie Irving and LeBron James there to lead the Cavaliers to three consecutive NBA Finals, all against the Golden State Warriors. Love was at the club until February when he moved to the Miami Heat, where he will now experience another final.
Miami Heat enter the NBA Finals as losers against the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets had been resting since defeating the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals on May 22, while Miami had a seven-game series against Boston.
Perhaps Love, who seems like a good luck charm considering his previous achievements, can turn the tide and stand against his opponents. According to BetMGM, the Nuggets are 8.5-point favorites to win the game in Denver on Thursday.
