Pep Guardiola dryly stated when Klopp announced he is retiring as coach in 2024, probably for good, that “He’s like me, he has to go back”. At Real Madrid, there are forces that believe Klopp must be tempted back to get the club back on track. Although Klopp has repeatedly stated that he is no longer interested in the head coaching job, his name has resurfaced in Madrid circles. So is Klopp ready? Red Bull boss Mintzlaff promises this won’t happen.
According to El Mundo, some in the Real management see Klopp as the type of coach capable of restoring authority in a divided squad, Marca claims Klopp is on the candidate list if/when Xabi Alonso is fired. Oliver Mintzlaff knows Real Madrid will have to go home empty-handed, if they knock on Klopp’s door now.

“Jürgen has made it clear that he does not want to become a football coach right now. If that changes at some point in his life, it is of course a possibility,” Red Bull boss Mintzlaff begins at an event hosted by the Leipziger Volkzeitung according to Sky Sport Germany.
“But I can see how passionate he is about his work, how many ideas he has and how much he wants to develop. That’s why I’m completely calm,” the Red Bull director said.
