So far, it has been confirmed that Liverpool and Arsenal will be two of six Premier League teams playing in the Champions League next season.

At the same time, either Manchester United or Tottenham Hotspur can also qualify by winning the Europa League final, which will be played on Wednesday night.

In the Premier League, there are still three Champions League places to play for as we enter the final league round of the 2024/25 season.

After their 3-1 win over Bournemouth on Tuesday night, Manchester City moved up to third place in the table with 68 points.

Pep Guardiola’s men are two points ahead of Newcastle United (4th), Chelsea (5th) and Aston Villa (6th).

City are also three points ahead of Nottingham Forest, who are currently in seventh place with 65 points.

As we approach the final round of the Premier League, here’s what each team needs to qualify for the Champions League.

What Chelsea, Man City, Newcastle, Villa and Forest need to secure Champions League place:

Manchester City – Current Position – 3.
Due to their better goal difference, one point against Fulham at Craven Cottage should be enough for Guardiola’s men. Three points will secure third place.

Newcastle United – Current position – 4.
The Magpies know that a win at home against Everton will secure them a place in Europe’s premier club competition. A draw will leave them vulnerable.

Chelsea – Current position – 5.
The Blues face rivals Nottingham Forest; a win for Enzo Maresca’s side would be enough.

If they lose, they also have Villa to lose.

Aston Villa – Current position – 6.
For Villa, they have to win against Manchester United and hope that Chelsea drop points against Forest.

Nottingham Forest – Current Position – 7.
Forest need two things: they need to win against Chelsea and hope that Villa drop points against United.
