It has not yet been revealed what the Slovenian club Olimpija Ljubljana has paid to sign Jost Urbancic from Viking, but if I were to guess, I think somewhere between 8 and 900,000 euros.

The 24-year-old left-back joined Viking before the 2023 season and recorded 40 appearances and one goal for the club. Now he is returning to his native Slovenia.

  • Jost has been an important piece for us in the last two years. We thank him for his efforts and wish him all the best in the future in Olimpija Ljubljana, says in a rather short message from Viking’s sports director Erik Nevland.

Viking leads the Eliteserien with 29 points after 12 games, while closest challenger Brann has 23 points with one game less played.
