It was two teams in crisis that met in the only Premier League game on Friday night. Lately, the discussion about whether Leeds manager Daniel Farke should be fired has been reasonably high, while West Ham at the end of September sacked Graham Potter who surprisingly has just been given the job as national team manager of Sweden.
West Ham continue their weak spell in the Premier League after another defeat, this time 1-2 away at Elland Road to Leeds.

Leeds started the game explosively and took a quick 2-0 lead. Brenden Aaronson scored after just four minutes, and Joe Rodon doubled the lead with a header just three minutes later. On both goals, West Ham proved very passive in defence.
After a very weak first half, West Ham reduced the deficit against the course of the game when Mateus Fernandes made it 1-2 in the last minute of regular play. However, it was only by hope for the visitors made.
Nuno Espírito Santo, who recently took over as West Ham manager, must already be feeling the challenges. He has so far only managed to secure a single point with his new team.
This was West Ham’s seventh defeat in nine league games. Their only win in the league came against Nottingham Forest – a team that at the time was led by Nuno Espírito Santo.
A series of injuries and VAR reviews led to the referee adding a whopping 15 overtime minutes in the first half. When the half-time break finally came, the away fans met their own players with mocking sounds.

After the loss, West Ham are still second bottom of the table with four points. Leeds, who have seven points more, are in 13th place.
